🛠️ MOM'S RICH Self-Installation Guide
"Professional results start with a solid foundation and precise finishing."
📦 Tools Needed (Preparation)
To ensure a smooth and safe installation, please have the following tools ready:

-
Metal Ruler: At least 60cm long for straight and stable cutting.
-
Cutting Mat: 60cm x 60cm or larger to protect your floor during the cutting process.
-
Utility Knife: A large, heavy-duty cutter for clean and easy slicing.
-
Marking Tools: Pencil, eraser, and a notepad to record and mark dimensions.
-
Safety Gloves: To protect your hands during the installatio
⚠️ Mandatory Checklist (Preparation)
-
Clean & Dry Surface: Thoroughly clean the floor of any dust or debris. Crucially, the floor must be completely dry before installation. Installing mats on a damp floor can trap moisture, leading to damage or discoloration of your original flooring.
Tip: After mopping, allow the floor to air-dry for at least 2–3 hours.
Step 1. Securing the Starting Point
The first mat serves as the anchor for the entire installation. If it moves, the alignment of the whole room will be compromised.

-
Pro Tip: Apply small pieces of silicone double-sided tape to the back of the very first mat (the starting point) to fix it firmly to the floor.
-
Effect: This prevents the baseline from shifting, ensuring a straight and accurate alignment throughout the process.
Step 2. Main Area Installation (Middle / Main Tile)

-
Starting from your fixed starting point, install the mats across the broad areas where no cutting is required.
-
Align the connectors on the edges and press down firmly to lock them into place.
Step 3. Edge & Corner Finishing (Straight Edge / Border)
-
For areas not bordered by a wall—such as hallway ends or doorways—use mats with a sloped edge to prevent tripping.
-
Side & Corner Types: These feature a gentle incline that ensures safety for children and pets while providing a clean, aesthetic finish.
Step 4. Door Clearance Solution (Slim-Fit )
-
In areas where standard mats (23mm) might obstruct door movement, such as under pantry doors or refrigerators, use our 10mm Pantry Type mats.
-
The slim profile allows doors to swing freely while maintaining a seamless interior look across your home.
Step 5. Seamless Custom Cutting
The final step is to fill in the gaps along walls or around furniture.

-
Measure the remaining space with high precision.
-
[Expert Tip] Mark the cutting line on the back of the mat approximately 0.5mm longer than the measured size.
-
When installing, press and wedge the slightly longer mat into the gap. This compression technique eliminates any visible seams between the mat and the wall for a flawless, integrated finish.
✨ Maintenance by Mom’s Rich
-
Periodic Ventilation: Occasionally lift the edges of the mats to allow the floor underneath to breathe. This helps preserve the pristine condition of your original flooring.
-
Temperature Control: Due to the nature of urethane materials, prolonged exposure to high heat may cause yellowing. Maintaining a moderate indoor temperature is recommended for long-lasting aesthetics.
